General Blueberry Information
Fresh Blueberries are nature's convenience food, they need no
peeling, hulling, or pitting. These Blueberries are all grown
in New Zealand and each Blueberry is hand picked, quality sorted
and packaged with great care by growers and their families.
|
|
Bloom on Blueberries
Fresh Blueberries carry a powdery bloom similar to that found
on grapes. This is the natural protective coating for the fruit
and is a sign of a healthy berry.
|
Storage of Blueberries
Fresh Blueberries can easily be stored in a refrigerator for
up to two weeks - that is if they have not been eaten by "fridge
raiders" first!
Blueberries can easily be frozen for use during the winter. Simply
place the dry fresh berries into a plastic bag, remove the air
and fasten with a twist tie. Before use remember to wash the berries.
